The right-back has evolved into a truly top class performer at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier was a guest on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM programme this morning, and he admitted that he initially found it hard to settle at the club, after moving to north London from Burnley.
The 28-year-old joined Spurs from the Clarets in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £3.5 million, and he has gone on to make 103 appearances in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Trippier hasn’t been in the best form for Tottenham recently, but he is still widely considered to be one of the best attacking full-backs in the Premier League.
The 16-capped England international shared how much of an important role Pochettino has played in his development over the past few years, when speaking during a guest appearance on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM programme:

“It took me a good 16 months to settle in at Tottenham. But what Pochettino does really well is developing players and getting them to play for their national teams. His record speaks for itself – he’s got five in the Tottenham squad now. He makes players become bigger and better. He helped me develop as an attacker.”
Tripper will be desperate to return to somewhere near his best between now and the end of the season, and Tottenham will need hm to be firing on all cylinders, if they are to have any chance of winning either the Premier League trophy or the Champions League.
