The Sun have reported interest in Atletico Madrid defender Trippier from Mikel’s Arteta’s Arsenal.
The Gunners have made contact with Atletico over signing Trippier in the summer transfer window.
The La Liga champions are looking for £34 million as transfer fee for the former Tottenham Hotspur defender.
Arsenal want the 30-year-old as a replacement for Hector Bellerin.

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans are divided over the prospect of Trippier moving to the Emirates Stadium.
The 30-year-old right-back has done well at Atletico, helping them win the La Liga title last season.
The former Spurs defender played 28 times in the league and seven times in the Champions League last season.
Trippier did well at Spurs, and although he will be 31 in September, the England international remains at the top of his game.
However, £34 million for a player in his 30s does seem a lot, especially for an Arsenal side who are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title anytime soon.
Moreover, Trippier is a former Tottenham player.
