Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has tweeted a good luck message to John Kennedy at Celtic and thanked him for the role he has played in his career.
Kennedy is set to take the reins of the Hoops’ first team on a short-term basis after Neil Lennon quit his role as head coach a little earlier this week.
Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in a £25 million deal during the summer of 2019 after progressing through the ranks at Lennoxtown.
One constant figure in the 23-year-old’s spell in the first team was Kennedy, who was on the coaching staff during Ronny Deila, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon’s stint in the dugout.
And it’s safe to say that the Scotland left-back feels a debt of gratitude to Kennedy.
