Celtic left back Kieran Tierney has taken to Twitter to send a message to supporters after suffering ankle ligament damage.
Bhoys teenager Tierney has been one of the most recent success stories of the Celtic youth academy, as he became a first-team regular last season, displacing the long-serving Emilio Izaguirre as Celtic’s first-choice left back.

After 33 appearances last term, Tierney has established himself as a key player at Celtic Park, and only continued to develop under Brendan Rodgers.
The Sun recently reported that Arsenal and Manchester City are both keen on Tierney, but neither side will now be able to watch him in action from now until the January transfer window.

On Friday, it was confirmed that Tierney has suffered ankle ligament damage, and will miss around two months of action, meaning he isn’t expected to play again before the start of 2017.
Rodgers is set to call upon Izaguirre – who started against Ross County in midweek – as Tierney’s replacement, and whilst the Honduran is a capable replacement, Tierney’s injury news is a major blow ahead of today’s game against Aberdeen.

Ahead of today’s game, Tierney took to Twitter to send a message to supporters, thanking fans for their messages to him after his injury blow.
Celtic team-mate Patrick Roberts also took to Twitter to respond, wishing Tierney a speedy recovery as he faces up to his first major lay-off since breaking into the Celtic first team.
