Callum McGregor has always been a favourite of Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.

McGregor has earned plenty of praise for his performances at Celtic this season, but he previously has not always been the most popular player at Parkhead.
When the Scottish international was younger, he was occasionally criticised by Celtic fans.
And Tierney says that he is delighted that everyone is now noticing McGregor’s quality.
“That’s a hard question,” Tierney said, when asked who the most under-rated player at Celtic was.
“I wouldn’t say under-rated, but I think it took people a while to realise how good Callum McGregor is. From the day I went first-team training with him, I knew he was a brilliant player. Now, everyone has realised how good he is. He’s a top performer in Europe for us, he’s got some big goals in him, and it’s great to see him getting the credit he deserves.”

McGregor recently stepped into Scott Brown’s role to cover for the Celtic’s captain’s absence, and he did so brilliantly.
Brendan Rodgers has always been a big admirer of McGregor and has gone on record to praise the midfielder recently.
McGregor looks likely to start in Celtic’s next match which comes against Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday.
