Speaking to Sky Sports, Kieran Tierney has been speaking about potentially being the Arsenal captain one day and what leadership means for him.
Tierney is undoubtedly one of the most vocal and passionate players Arsenal have, and many have tipped him to be a future skipper at the Emirates Stadium.
The full-back was quick to acknowledge his leadership abilities, claiming that although he doesn’t have the armband at Arsenal, he’s still a real character in the dressing room.
Tierney credits former Celtic man Scott Brown as being a perfect example of a leader.

Tierney named his former teammate as an example of a leader he admires.
“I feel as though I’ve learned from some great leaders, I always go back to Scott Brown, he’s the perfect example of a leader. I learned off him and other leaders in this changing room as well but you can still be a leader in the changing room without the armband,” Tierney said.
Captain material
Brown may have left Celtic for Aberdeen this summer, but there’s no doubting just how important he was as a leader on the pitch.
If Tierney views Brown as a role model, then the full-back certainly has what it takes to be the captain of Arsenal one day.
Brown was everything you’d want from a captain at Celtic and if Tierney even has half of what the midfielder had in terms of leadership abilities, he’ll be a great skipper in the future.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang isn’t getting any younger and when the time comes for him to call it a day in north London, Tierney would be a great replacement as captain.
