Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has hailed captain Scott Brown after his inspirational performance against Aberdeen.
Celtic lost in depressingly familiar fashion in Europe in midweek against Zenit St Petersburg, and were eliminated from continental competition.
Tierney said that Scott Brown continues to impress him: “He’s brilliant and a true leader for us to work under and learn from.
“It’s a privilege and an honour for me to work with him.”
Celtic had looked vulnerable after their loss to Zenit but they bounced back in convincing style against the Dons.
Brown was on the wrong end of a poor tackle against Aberdeen but immediately bounced up, refusing to writhe around and look for sympathy from the referee.
Actions like this help earn the respect of teammates as well as fans, and the midfielder’s strong personality and refusal to stay down help demonstrate why Celtic did not succumb to back to back losses.
