Kieran Tierney is one of the best young defenders in Europe, and there is no surprise that Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs linked with the Celtic defender.

According to The Scottish Sun, Tottenham are interested in signing Tierney from Celtic in the summer retransfer window.

Manchester United and Bournemouth are also reported to be interested in securing the services of the 20-year-old Scotland international left-back this summer.

Celtic, though, have nothing to worry about, as Tierney – who is valued at £20 million by the Glasgow giants according to The Daily Record – does not plan to leave Celtic Park anytime soon.

Tierney told The Daily Record regarding speculation on his future: “When big teams are looking at you it’s flattering. It doesn’t bother me or distract me because I’m enjoying myself.

“I’m playing for Celtic so I’m happy. I’m not in any rush at all. I had four years left on my last contract and if I wanted to leave I would have chosen to run that down. Instead, when the club offered me six I was happy to sign.”

Boost for Celtic

Tierney is one of the best young left-backs in Europe, and his performances for Celtic this season have been superb.

The 20-year-old has established himself as the first-choice left-back at Celtic, and it would be hard for the Hoops to find a replacement should he leave.

Tierney’s aforementioned comments, though, suggest that he will remain at Celtic for the foreseeable future.
