Celtic star Kieran Tierney has told the club’s official website that they are working hard to improve defensively this season.
The Hoops have made a strong start to the season so far picking up four wins from their first five games.
Their attacking prowess has been notable as they have scored 17 goals in their games so far.
That has propelled them to the top of the table, with them currently three points clear of Hearts and St Johnstone. Last weekend saw them falter for the first time as they drew 2-2 with Ross County.
Celtic’s Scott Brown looks dejected
So far they have conceded seven goals in the league and Tierney says they are looking to improve in that department as they want to start winning games 1-0.
“We’re working on it (keeping a clean sheet) on the training field and hopefully it will come together. If we score one goal, we want that to win us a game. We don’t want to concede,” he told the club’s official website.

It will be interesting to see if Brendan Rodgers can improve Celtic’s defence moving forward.
The Northern Irishman does not have a strong record defensively, with his Liverpool side arguably missing out on the title because of their frailties in that area.
That is unlikely to happen at Celtic but he will certainly be keen to avoid the defence becoming an issue at his new club. If he can, it will at least show that he has learned from his spell at Anfield.
