The new Arsenal arrival made his debut in Carabao Cup action on Tuesday night.

Joining from Celtic for a £25m fee in August, the defender has had to overcome injury to force his way into Unai Emery’s plans, eventually winning a spot in last night’s League Cup squad.
On his initial showing he looks like an accomplished choice for the Gunners, playing 77 minutes of a 5-0 win, shining on the left flank throughout his time on the pitch.
His next goal will be cementing his place in Emery’s team, although Arsenal will have to play it safe with his fitness. The Scotland international has missed a lot of football over the last 12 months.
He was clearly delighted to make his first start, telling fans it was a ‘great feeling’ to perform at the Emirates.
The response to his initial display has been an outpouring, with loads of fans taking to Twitter to respond to his message, proclaiming him as the next great player to emerge at Arsenal.
There’ll be tougher tests than Nottingham Forest on the horizon, but the 22-year-old is moving in the right direction.
