Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney has told The Scottish Sun that he is looking forward to playing against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox for Arsenal.
What’s the story?
Arsenal will take on Rangers in a pre-season friendly game.
The Premier League club will face the Scottish Premiership champions at Ibrox in July 17.
Tierney is a former Celtic player who moved to the Gunners in 2019.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, the 24-year-old never lost at Ibrox while on the pitch for Celtic.
Kieran Tierney comments
Tieney is looking forward to the match between Arsenal and Rangers.
The Scotland international left-back has said that he hopes that there will be Rangers fans at Ibrox for the match.
The left-back told The Scottish Sun: “I’m buzzing for our game against Rangers, and also the match against Hibs at Easter Road. I’m sure I’ll get a good reception!
“It will be a great game against Rangers, and hopefully there can be fans inside the ground too. I loved playing at Ibrox with Celtic, and it would be nice to get another win there.
“If there were to be Arsenal fans too then it would be a great atmosphere. But I know that’s probably unlikely because of the pandemic. A lot of my mates back home would want to go to the games if they were able to.”

Exciting game
Yes, it will be a pre-season friendly match, but the game at Ibrox between Arsenal and Rangers will be a good watch.
Both the Gunners and the Gers play on the front foot, and the two teams will want to do well.
Of course, the intensity will be not as it is during a competitive game, but if there are fans at Ibrox, then the players will certainly step up their game.
