Kieran Tierney has been one of the stars for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side so far this season.

Kieran Tierney has claimed that he never realised how much he enjoyed playing for Celtic until he picked up an injury earlier this season.

Tierney has been a regular starter for Celtic, ever since he broke into the Bhoys’ first-team last campaign.

The young full-back had not had time to fully reflect on his rise at the Glasgow club, until he picked up an injury earlier this season.

Tierney suffered with an ankle problem back in October, and was ruled out for over two months.

And Tierney admits that he did not appreciate just how much he enjoyed playing for Celtic until he had time on the sidelines.

Tierney has become a key member of Brendan Rodgers’ first-team line-up this term, and looks to be one of the most exciting talents breaking through at Parkhead.

The youngster has already been linked with a move to the Premier League, but his desire to continue playing regular first-team football is encouraging for Celtic.

The Bhoys are currently leading the way in the Scottish Premiership table, and are still yet to be beaten in a domestic game this season.
