Celtic exited both domestic cups at the semi-final stage last season.
Kieran Tierney has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he is determined never to lose another semi-final at Celtic.
The Bhoys crashed out of both domestic cup competitions at the semi-final stage last term.
First, Celtic were beaten by Ross County in the Scottish League Cup, before Rangers knocked them out of the Scottish Cup.
And Tierney insists that he wants to use the bitter disappointment of those two losses to inspire him to play better this term.
“There were a few lows in Europe last year and the semi-finals weren’t great. But it was an experience for me because I had never played in either,” he said.
“So hopefully if we can get to the semi-final, I can use that experience.
“You remember the feeling when you get beat and it’s horrible. I never want to feel like that again.”
Celtic have the chance of to make it into the semi-final of the League Cup again tomorrow evening, when they take on Alloa Athletic.
The Bhoys are heavy favourites to win the match at Parkhead, after their impressive start to the campaign.
Celtic remain unbeaten in domestic action, but they did drop points in their last match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the weekend.
Tierney is yet to win a cup competition since breaking into Celtic’s first-team, but he was a key part of the side which won the Scottish Premiership title last term.
