A host of clubs are looking to make a move for Manchester United centre-back Will Fish this summer, sources have told HITC Football.

The 21-year-old has had two impressive loan spells in Scotland with Hibernian and it has caught the eye of English Championship duo Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough.

The player is known to both Kieran McKenna and Michael Carrick after their spells working at Old Trafford and with the Manchester United academy.

HITC Football also understands that other clubs tracking his progression are Sheffield United, Hull City, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.

Will Fish did spend pre-season with Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United squad and he is now in his second loan spell at Easter Road.

Hibs boss Nick Montgomery has spoken of his desire to keep Will Fish, but that looks a difficult task with a number of English sides keen on the Manchester-born stopper.

The Old Trafford academy graduate has made one sub appearance for Manchester United and has been a regular for Hibs this season making 35 appearances in all competitions, including playing two European ties against Aston Villa.

Working under Kieran McKenna and Michael Carrick

Both managers are doing outstanding jobs at their respective clubs and they have been working with a number of top young prospects along the way.

After promotion to the Championship, McKenna is looking to go back-to-back and help the Tractor Boys make a return to England’s top flight after a two-decade wait.

Boro will be also hoping to make another play-off visit under Carrick, as they are ten points off sixth-placed Hull City, but they have a game in hand.

These are teams competing for the Championship’s biggest prize as Fish considers his options ahead of next season.
