Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs was forced to leave the field early against Bayern.
Arsenal have been forced into an early change against Bayern Munich with Kieran Gibbs injured.
The left-back was substituted in the 30th minute and replaced by Nacho Monreal with the score at 0-0.
Gibbs had been solid early on, completing 80 per cent of his passes, while making one tackle and one interception.
Monreal while a Spanish international is coming of criticism from a poor performance away at Anfield which saw his side ship five, and is up against Arjen Robben.
Gary Neville stated via his commentary position that Gibbs’ injury appeared to be a hamstring problem, while he was able to walk off the pitch, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny indicated to the bench they Gunners needed to make a change straight away.
Arsenal had earlier missed a glorious chance to take the lead when Mesut Ozil shot a penalty straight at Manuel Neuer.
