Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keen on Everton’s Kieran Dowell.

Glasgow Rangers are hoping to strike a January deal to sign England under-21 international Kieran Dowell, the Daily Record
Dowell can fill a need Rangers want to cover, a goalscoring midfielder.
He struck 10 goals on loan at Nottingham Forest last season. This year at Everton he has barely had a look in.
Dowell can be a valuable contributor on the scoresheet, but he can do so much more too.
He explained this in the summer to Everton’s website, discussing the roles he has played with England’s youth sides and at Forest.
Dowell said: “I played on the right of two 10s behind the striker, then in the final we were being overrun in midfield in the first 20 minutes and the manager moved me inside to be part of a midfield three.
“I really enjoyed it in there and felt like I showed a lot of discipline and demonstrated my quality on the ball.
“It can only be beneficial for my development being trusted in a few different positions. I played right across midfield last season and have learned a lot.
“Going to Forest was my first taste of proper football and I loved every minute of it.”

Having not featured in Everton’s plans, Dowell will be desperate to get playing at a competitive level again.
Rangers is an entirely new challenge, and he already knows Joe Worrall from his time at Forest last season.
Dowell’s versatility will see him become an extremely useful player for Rangers, and he could be perfect for what they need.
