The Aston Villa teenager should be given a run-out to prove his worth with nothing left to play for.
Aston Villa’s senior stars are not exactly ending the season on a high, with defeats against Reading, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers highlighting a team with one eye on the beach.
Steve Bruce’s side may have pulled away from trouble but that does not mean they should let their campaign fizzle out to nothing, and if the regular faces are not willing to put in the work, what chance Villa giving some of their young guns the opportunity to impress?
One such player is 19-year-old forward Kienan Davis, who has featured six times for Villa this season but is yet to make his first start.
With Jonathan Kodjia out for the rest of the campaign with a broken ankle, Davis has the ideal chance to stake a claim for more chances next season, and Bruce should seriously consider seeing what the teenager can do from the outset.

Getting a few minutes here and there is all well and good but it does not allow for a player, especially one so inexperienced, to build up a head of steam.
The weekend clash with Brighton and Hove Albion offers him one last chance before the summer break, and while he looks set for a bright future at Villa Park, it would be smart to show him how it feels to kick off in front of his own supporters sooner rather than later.
