Ki Sung-Yueng has confirmed to the Shields Gazette that Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden’s injury is not a serious one.

Hayden was taken off during Newcastle’s last game against Southampton with an injury issue.

But Ki believes that Hayden will make it back in time to play for Newcastle this weekend.

“It’s not a serious injury, so I think he will be fine for the next game,” he said.

Hayden has been one of Newcastle’s best players over recent weeks, so his inclusion for the weekend would be a boost to Rafael Benitez’s side.
