Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez still has not signed a contract to stay at St. James’ Park.

Benitez has not signed a new contract at Newcastle, with uncertainty growing around St. James’ Park.
The Spanish boss has just weeks left on his deal at Newcastle, but no agreement is in place to keep him next season yet.
And Ki admits that even he hasn’t heard anything about Benitez’s next decision.
“Even though I don’t say anything, you all know the situation,” KI said.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen. It depends on the manager and what he decides. We’ll see what’s going to happen.”

Ki, who is on a £40,000-a-week contract at Newcastle (Spotrac), is likely to want Benitez to stay as he had forced his way into the Magpies’ starting line-up last season.
Benitez favoured Ki over Jonjo Shelvey for a chunk of the campaign, and he played regularly.
Newcastle need to keep hold of Ki, as their midfield options look as if they could be dangerously short next term.
Isaac Hayden and Shelvey could both exit St. James’ Park in the coming weeks, leaving Ki and Sean Longstaff as the only senior central midfielders at the club.
