The Fiorentina man would be an excellent addition to the Everton squad.
With Romelu Lukaku’s future at Goodison Park uncertain to say the least, Toffees boss Ronald Koeman must surely be lining up a list of potential replacements to fill the void left behind by the Belgian, if and when he leaves Merseyside.
With this in mind, the Dutchman will surely want to add a burly, powerful striker to his ranks, and an interesting option for them could be Fiorentina hitman Khouma Babacar, who enjoyed a hugely successful campaign in Serie A last term.
Standing at 6ft 3in, the Senegalese forward would provide a fantastic focal point to the Blues’ attack, and that combined with his electric pace would enable Koeman to play with a greater level of in-game tactical flexibility.

He is no slouch in front of goal either, having racked up 14 goals in 31 appearances for La Viola last season, with 13 of those outings coming from the substitutes bench.
Babacar would be ideal to fill the void left behind by Lukaku, and his attributes make him perfectly suited to playing the lone striker role, which would enable him to seamlessly slot into Koeman’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
He is still under contract in Florence for another two years, however, so it would take a fairly substantial offer to prise him away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Everton are certainly not short of cash though, and they should flex their financial muscle by offering Fiorentina an amount that they would find hard to resist.
And if Koeman does manage to bring Babacar to Goodison Park this summer, it could turn out to be one heck of a signing.
