Fifa 17: EA announce the top 20 goalkeepers ahead of the game’s release

It’s just seven days until gamers can lay their hands on Fifa 17 and EA have just announced the game’s top keepers from around the globe.

It is the final week before the latest edition of Fifa hits the shelves and as the release date nears players are being teased with the latest ratings for the world’s biggest stars.

Last week we were gifted the top free-kick takers on the game and the latest list to be announced by EA is the top goalkeepers from across the globe, with some notable Premier League stars packing out the top 10.

Little has changed from last year’s top five as Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer retains his top spot with a rating of 92 with David de Gea in second and Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois in third, rated 90 and 89 respectively.

The first change made by EA is Tottenham Hotspurs’ Hugo Lloris who has moved up from sixth to fourth with a rating of 88.

The 34-year-old Petr Cech has swapped places with Lloris, sitting at sixth with a similar rating of 88, separated by Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon in fifth.

Two new entries into Fifa’s top 10 come in the form of Jan Oblak, of Atletico Madrid, who is ranked eighth while Real Madrid’s currently injured stopper Keylor Navas props up the top 10.

Joe Hart still manages to make the top 20 and is ranked 15th with a rating of 84, four places down from last year’s game.

This is just the latest group of stats to be released by EA Sports and players will not have to wait much longer for the game itself.

Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked as the best player in the world at 94, just one point ahead of Lionel Messi and two ahead of Neymar who sits in third.

Ibrahimovic and de Gea are the top Premier League players, jointly rated 90 while Rooney is the top English player with a rating of 84.
