West Bromwich Albion skipper Darren Fletcher fancies his side’s chances against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Baggies head to London to take on Spurs on Saturday, and club captain Darren Fletcher explained why they will go into the game in such confident mood, as quoted by the club’s official website.
West Brom have actually taken four points from their last two visits to White Hart Lane, and it is that impressive record which is giving the former Manchester United midfielder and his teammates such a feeling of confidence as they head into the game.
The 32-year-old told WBA.co.uk:

“We managed to get a point against them earlier on in the season. We know we are going to have to be on top of our game on Saturday, but we have done well there in the past and hopefully we can get another positive result.”
Tony Pulis’ men have performed admirably so far this term, and currently sit in eighth position in the Premier League table.

Incredibly, a win on Saturday could take the Baggies up to seventh, temporarily at least, and what a fantastic achievement that would represent, after many had predicted they would struggle, following their underwhelming performance during the summer transfer window.
And if Pulis manages to bring at least a couple of quality additions into the Hawthorns this month, then Europa League football, something that would have been a distant dream before the season started, could become a realistic target for the club.
