Tottenham Hotspur face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen spoke to reporters at the weekend, and discussed his side’s trip to the Emirates to take on Arsenal on Sunday, claiming that his side could hold the advantage because of the way in which the Gunners play, as quoted by ESPN.
Tottenham are the only remaining unbeaten side left in England’s top-flight, but have drawn too many games, and now find themselves outside the top-four, three points behind their fierce North London rivals.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been water-tight at the back as usual, but have struggled in front of goal during the absence of Harry Kane, scoring just six goals in five league outings since the 23-year-old last played.
Vertonghen spoke to the press ahead of Sunday’s crucial derby, and explained how Arsenal’s attacking playing style could play into his side’s hands, as quoted by ESPN:
“It will be a very intense game, with both teams playing very positive, attacking football and I’m looking forward to that game. Normally we do well against teams like that.”

Spurs face Bayer Leverkusen at White Hart Lane on Wednesday, whilst Arsenal play their Champions League match a day earlier, although they have to travel to Bulgaria, so things should be pretty much evened out, as far as recovery times go.
It is all set up for a breathtaking clash on Sunday, and in what could be one of those important North London Derbies in recent years, both sides will be desperate to win.
