Newcastle United play host to Aston Villa in the Championship tomorrow night.

Villa defender James Chester spoke to the club’s official website about his side’s trip to the North East to take on the Magpies tomorrow night, and talked up the importance of winning the match, highlighting one particular facet of the host’s game which gives him and his Villa teammates confidence.
Steve Bruce’s men are currently in a whole world of trouble, sitting in 17th position in the Championship table, and just six points clear of 22nd placed Wigan Athletic.
Rafa Benitez’ side, on the other hand, are riding high in second place, two points adrift of league leaders Brighton & Hove Albion, although they do have a game in hand over the Seagulls.
But Chester, who moved to Villa Park from West Bromwich Albion last summer, shared a reason why he is confident that his side can take all three points away from St James’ Park tomorrow night, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:
“It’s certainly a difficult game for us with where they are in the league and the run we are on. But it’s a game that we can look forward to, with the individuals we have in the squad, we are more than capable of going and getting a result. If there is a negative on their season, it’s the fact that they’ve lost a few games at home. Hopefully we can go there and turn our fortunes around.”
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce
If they do manage to beat the Magpies, Villa can climb as high as 15th in the table, and with tensions obviously eased, they could then start to look ahead, rather than behind them.
Newcastle will be looking to jump back to the top of the table with a win, however, and with that carrot dangling in front of them, they will surely be even more determined to win the game.
Chester and co are certainly in for a difficult night tomorrow, whatever happens.
