Harry Kewell believes Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son ‘doesn’t seem himself’ ahead of the North London derby today, as he told the Kelly & Wighty show.

The former Premier League player pointed out how Son ‘helped Jose Mourinho’ out when he first arrived but he thinks he has changed now and he simply isn’t performing.

Spurs’ performances have been pretty dour since lockdown and they now face a crunch clash against their bitter rivals.

Despite the questions about how Mourinho’s men are playing, Kewell made it clear that it will only take ‘one chance’ to win today’s North London derby.

“We know Spurs are going through a change,” Kewell told the Kelly & Wrighty show. “We know that they need some more players. But even the players that he has got in there, they look sluggish and slow.

“Like Son, for example. He usually runs all day, but he just doesn’t seem himself. When you get players like that who helped Mourinho out, especially when he first came in. He was the only one kind of scoring and all that. They are not doing it now.

“I feel for Spurs. But it’s a derby. Anything can happen in a derby. You can play all the most beautiful football in the world but it just takes one chance.”

Tottenham’s style has significantly changed ever since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino in the dugout in November.

That high press Spurs used to have under their previous manager has now gone and it does seem as though that they have dropped at least 10 yards back.

It is frustrating the Spurs fans but a win against Arsenal would turn a lot of that negativity into the much-needed good vibes that the club needs.
