Tottenham Hotspur have looked to be back to their best in recent weeks.
Spurs were magnificent yesterday during their 4-1 win over Watford at Vicarage Road, and Kevin Wimmer shared what he and his teammates discussed prior to their clash with the Hornets, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Austrian has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, but has performed admirably whenever called upon.
And yesterday was no different, as the 24-year-old put in a commanding display at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.

Wimmer spoke to reporters after the game, and underlined how focused his side were in the build-up to their game yesterday, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:
“It’s a great way to start the New Year. It’s a difficult ground to come to but we started well. We said before the game that it was an important game and we needed the three points.”

The Lilywhites face a huge game on Wednesday night, when they are set to welcome league leaders Chelsea to White Hart Lane in a game that they absolutely must win if they are to have any hopes of winning the Premier League title.
And from a personal perspective, Wimmer will surely be hopeful of playing more of a part in his side’s campaign during the second half of the season, but he will have his work cut out with Jan Vertonghen ahead of hm in the centre-back pecking order at Spurs.
