Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer says the team are on the up.
Tottenham entered the previous international break full of confidence after beating Manchester City.
In the weeks which followed they remarkably failed to win a single game, recording a run of draws while keeping up their unbeaten league record, and losing in the EFL Cup and Champions League.

They are now six points off the top of the table, and closer to sixth place than first.
Their most recent game was a hard fought 1-1 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates, denying the Gunners a chance to extend the three point gap between the two teams.
Kevin Wimmer scored an unfortunate own goal in the match but rallied to help his team claim a point, and believes the result will have a positive effect on their season.
He told the club’s official website: “We obviously got the draw, but we now have some time until the next game and I think we’ve turned the corner.
“We’re moving in the right direction and everyone believes we can continue to improve. Now we have some time while the internationals are on, then we’ll do everything to get the three points against West Ham.”

A win against an inconsistent West Ham side will give every one around the club a lift, and Spurs will want to exact payback on their rivals after they won the last meeting 1-0 at Upton Park back in March.
Wimmer’s comments that Spurs have turned the corner already are a bit over optimistic, they will need to record a win to truly show that, but if they can beat West Ham, then the questions over their ability to challenge at the top will begin to subside again.
