Kevin Wimmer has struggled to impress at Tottenham Hotspur this season.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer has told ESPN that he has never even thought about leaving White Hart Lane.
Wimmer was linked with a move away from Spurs earlier this month, with suggestions that he was keen for a move back to Germany (Hertfordshire Mercury).
However, the centre-back insists that he never wanted a move away from Spurs, despite a lack of game time this season.

“A few weeks ago when we had two days off, I went to Cologne to see friends there because I’m still in touch with them,” he said.
“I had a very good time there but this caused a problem because I was seen there and there were some discussions but there was never a point when I thought about leaving the club. I feel very comfortable here and it was just from the media. I never thought about going back to Germany.”
Wimmer has struggled to break into Tottenham’s first-team this term, even though they have switched to a system which includes three centre-backs.

Wimmer impressed last season when required to cover for Jan Vertonghen, but he has struggled to move up the selection order.
The Austrian international remains Spurs’ fourth choice central defender – behind Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Vertonghen.
Wimmer is set for a run of games now though, with Vertonghen our injured.
The 24-year-old made just his fourth start of the season in the Premier League against Manchester City at the weekend, as Spurs came from behind to pick up a 2-2 draw.
