The 22-year-old joined Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in the summer.
Kevin Thomson has told the official Rangers podcast that Josh Windass is a great asset to the Ibrox club.
The 22-year-old has arguably been the pick of Mark Warburton’s 12 summer signings, following his arrival from Accrington Stanley down South.
The Englishman has forged a fine partnership with the likes of Jason Holt and Andy Halliday in midfield in recent weeks and Rangers fans will be praying he can stay fit.

Windass has only managed five Scottish Premiership starts for the Gers in what has been a stop-start stint in Glasgow so far.
But he has certainly impressed the former Middlesbrough man, who spent three years at Rangers until 2010.
He told the club’s official podcast: “I’ve been impressed with Windass. I know he’s had injuries but he can pick up the ball, he can travel, he can go by people.

“When you play for the Old Firm and can go by people, it gives you an extra asset because a lot of teams do park the bus. And when you have boys who can nullify other teams by taking players out of the game, it’s a great asset to have.”
Warburton’s side sit third in the Premiership, 11 points behind Celtic, ahead of Saturday’s visit of Dundee to Ibrox.
It would not have made a huge difference to the point deficit had Windass been fit all season long, but going forward, he is definitely a big player for Rangers and if Warburton can recruit similar talents, in different positions, this winter then it could have a big effect.
