Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers brought Greg Docherty to Ibrox in the January transfer window.

Docherty joined Rangers from Hamilton Academical in the January transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £600,000.
The 21-year-old is a very good and promising young midfielder and has established himself as an important player in Graeme Murty’s side.
The Scotland Under-21 international midfielder has scored three goals and provided eight assists in 29 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers and Hamilton so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Former Rangers midfielder Thomson played against Docherty when he was at Dundee and the latter was at Hamilton.
The 33-year-old has praised Docherty and has also suggested where the Rangers youngster needs to improve.

Thomson told The Daily Record about Docherty: “I also played against Greg when he was at Hamilton and I was up at Dundee. He was just breaking through at the time and he was a powerhouse of a boy.
“It is hard when you come to a club like this because you get judged straight away. That is just the way it is and you have to accept that as a player.
“He will grow into the jersey and get better and better. He is the modern-day midfielder. He gets around but I would like to see him add goals to his game.
“He is more than capable and he notched a few for Hamilton. When he finds his stride here he will be a good asset for the club.”

Promising midfielder
Docherty is very young and is far from the finished article, and working with Rangers manager Murty will only see him improve.
The Scotsman should be given time and allowed to develop at his own pace.
