Wolverhampton Wanderers sporting director Kevin Thelwell has told The Express & Star that defender Danny Batth will not leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Thelwell has also said that forward Bright Enobakhare has a future at Wolves.

“Danny’s been outstanding for this football club in terms of what he brings on and off the field,” Thelwell told The Express & Star. “At the moment he’s very much part of the plans and part of the group.

“Bright has proved to be a very capable player. Situations can always change in football but they are both part of the plans.”

Future at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Central defender Batth has been on the books of the Wanderers his entire professional club football career so far.

The 27-year-old centre-back has been a regular for Wolves in the Championship in recent years.

However, the Englishman has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for Wolves this season.

Enobakhare is only 20 years of age and has played quite a number of first-team matches for the Wanderers.

The youngster, though, will find it tough to get much playing time for Nuno’s side in the Premier League this season.

However, both Batth and Enobakhare should stay at Wolves for the first half of the season and enjoy the Premier League ride.

Wolves have picked up just two points from three Premier League matches so far this season.
