Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart is aiming for further improvement at the club this season after a productive second half of last season.
Stewart was recalled from a loan spell at Swindon Town and seemed to establish himself as cover for the central midfield area of the side.
In terms of what he wants this season, he told the official Liverpool website: “[To] stay injury free and be available as much as possible.
Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge speaks to Kevin Stewart
“To show the manager and the players here what I can do, I don’t think I’ve showed that fully yet – there’s a lot more to come from me.
“I [want to] stay injury-free and improve [and] take on as much information as the manager gives to me.
“The best thing I can do for the manager and the players is to keep improving, be available and try to push into the team. It helps the manager’s decisions and helps the players improve as well.”

Stewart has made three appearances for the Reds so far this season, all from the bench when it comes to either trying to shore up the game or cover for any injury that may have taken place in the middle of the park.
Liverpool are now pretty well stocked in the central midfield area with Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Lucas Leiva all battling for a place in that area of the side along with Stewart.
In a season where games are fewer because of no European games, a good attitude is essential. Stewart seems to be a player who is willing to be called upon whenever the manager needs him, and is prepared to act as cover. In seasons like this, they are the kind of players you need, especially if they want to continue to learn and improve to enhance their chances of getting more regular game time.
