Everton legend Kevin Sheedy has taken to Twitter to hail Everton’s performance in the draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues kicked off their Premier League campaign on Saturday as they hosted Mauricio Pochettino’s side at Goodison Park.
Not much was expected from the Toffees, especially with them missing both Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku for the game.

They surprised everyone though, with a scintillating first half display seeing them head into the break 1-0 ahead courtesy of Ross Barkley’s free kick.
Spurs eventually hit back in the second half, but it was still a good point for Koeman in his first game in charge and Sheedy was impressed by the display that his former team put in.

It now remains to be seen if Everton can build on this strong showing to improve under Koeman this season.
Much is likely to rest on their transfer business for the remainder of the window, with several more signings expected to arrive at Goodison Park.
With Ashley Williams, Romelu Lukaku and Seamus Coleman all to come in too, things are looking bright for the Toffees based on this showing.
