The legendary former Sheffield Wednesday keeper left the same role at Millwall earlier this summer.

Nicky Weaver has received congratulations on his new role at Sheffield Wednesday by the man many Owls fans wanted to fill it.
As reported by HITC, Kevin Pressman was several Wednesdayites’ first choice to succeed Andy Rhodes as goalkeeper coach at Hillsborough, after the latter was named Oldham Athletic’s new assistant manager in June.
And the 50-year-old’s decision to ‘like’ a tweet from Wednesday announcing Rhodes’ exit further raised hope of an emotional return for the man who spent the bulk of his career as Owls number one.

But the position has since been filled by Weaver, who had initially taken over from Rhodes on a temporary basis, while Pressman remains a free agent after leaving the same role at Millwall at the end of last season.
And Pressman posted, after the news of Weaver’s promotion from academy goalkeeper coach was announced on Thursday:
It remains to be seen whether or not Pressman was indeed interested in a return to Sheffield Wednesday, whom he has supported for most of his life.
