Tottenham Hotspur are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table.

Kevin Nolan has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 28th October, that he believes Tottenham Hotspur will definitely be competing at the top end of the Premier League table this season.
Spurs are currently in fifth place in the Premier League standings, which are congested at the top. Just one point separates the top five teams, with Manchester City currently leading the way.

Nolan believes that Spurs are genuine title contenders this season, and he has backed the Lilywhites to remain in the upper echelons of the division for the whole campaign.
“Tottenham will definitely be up there, and should be serious title contenders. They will learn from their mistakes. He [Pochettino] has bought well in the summer,” he said.
Spurs are the only Premier League team to be go unbeaten through their first nine games, and they boast the best defensive record in the top flight.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have, perhaps, been slightly less effective going forward, though.
Vincent Janssen has struggled to score frequently, in Harry Kane’s absence, but Nolan believes that the Dutch striker will come good, if he is given time.
“I know Janssen is 22, he’s a young lad,” the former Newcastle United and West Ham United midfielder added. “He just needs that chance. He’s done really well.”
