Kevin Nolan has stated that it is ‘crazy’ that West Ham United’s top-scorer in a single Premier League season has only scored 16 goals, as he prays that Sebastian Haller can produce the goods.

As reported by BBC Sport, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Haller is travelling to West Ham for a medical with his potential transfer costing in the region of £45 million.

The Hammers have always had troubles when it has come to their striker options, especially under their current owners.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (16/07/2019 8:55 pm), former Hammers midfielder Nolan is hoping Haller can be the answer to the East London club’s problems.

On West Ham’s top-scorer in a single season in the PL being 16 goals: “Crazy,” Nolan told BBC Radio 5 Live. “When you think about the money they have spent down the years and the top players they have had. I might have got close to that as a midfielder as well.

“Listen, it’s exciting times for West Ham fans, at the minute. Pellegrini has come in last season, he’s established a style, he’s established who he wants and put his own real mark on it.

“I’m really interested in how he [Haller] does and I really hope they get it over the line because another exciting prospect and hopefully this one clicks and goes on.”

If the reported deal for Haller goes through the then powerful 25-year-old arrives with a big reputation having struck 20 goals for Frankfurt last season.

Manuel Pellegrini is seriously short of numbers in the striker department as Haller’s arrival will provide the fans with much-needed relief.

Not only that, if he can produce the goods for West Ham next season then it’ll bode seriously well for their European push and potential trophy push.
