Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has revealed to the club’s official website what manager Ronald Koeman has told him regarding his performances.

The 29-year-old has recently signed a new three-year contract and will remain at Goodison Park until June 2020, as announced on Everton’s official website.

The Belgium international has revealed that manager Koeman has advised him to be more consistent.

“The manager was a very important part in my decision to sign a new contract because he believes in my qualities,” Mirallas told Everton’s official website.

“I have spoken with the manager and I know he wants more from me – more assists, more goals, more consistency. I will work hard for that and hope to play even better next season.

“I think I need to be more consistent in games. All my family and friends say, ‘You need to do more, you need to do more,’ and I will work hard to achieve that.”

Mirallas is a good winger, and over the years he has proved that he is good enough to play in the Premier League.

The Belgian has scored four goals and provided six assists in 22 Premier League starts for Everton this season.

The former Olympiacos and Saint-Etienne winger does need to be consistent, though, and perhaps in the coming years he will add that to his game.

The fact that Mirallas has been handed a new contract shows that manager Koeman rates him highly. What the Belgium international now needs to do is work hard.
