But perhaps Kevin Mirallas’ return to Finch Farm is perhaps somewhat surprising given that he is expected to leave the club in the future, with many likely to be wondering why he has not already.

The Liverpool Echo claim the 30-year-old is likely to be sold to make room on Everton’s wage bill, after failing to rediscover his form during a loan spell with his former club Olympiakos.
Indeed, Mirallas only managed two goals in 12 league games and has now returned to Everton, despite posting on Instagram back in April that he only wanted to play for his loan side.
Mirallas was loaned to the Greek outfit after managing just 13 appearances in all competitions during the first half of the 2017-18 campaign with Everton, five of which came in the Premier League – culminating in 136 minutes.
Despite his claims that he only wants to play for Olympiacos, a permanent deal now looks unlikely to be completed as Mirallas has been pictured returning to pre-season.
