The Toffees captain saw red in a very frustrating game for Marco Silva and the Goodison Park side.

Everton cult hero Kevin Kilbane has given his verdict on the Seamus Coleman sending off in today’s Premier League defeat, as quoted by BBC Sport.
The Everton captain, already on a yellow card for a tackle on Erik Pieters, was given his marching orders shortly before the hour after a challenge on Dwight McNeil, barging into the winger after the ball had gone.
Referee Graham Scott got out a second yellow and duly dismissed Coleman, with Marco Silva’s charges going on to fall a goal behind as Jeff Hendrick rifled a first-time side-footed volley into the roof of the net at the far post from Ashley Westwood’s corner.
Kilbane, however, didn’t believe that Coleman deserved to be shown a second yellow, deeming the booking “soft”, and thought the Republic of Ireland international should have remained on the pitch as his challenge was not aggressive.

“That was a very soft yellow card for me,” Kilbane told BBC Sport. “It’s not an aggressive challenge, it’s not a yellow card for me. Seamus Coleman should still be in the pitch for me.”
The result sees Everton slip to 17th in the Premier League table with just seven points from their eight fixtures so far, and calls for Silva to lose his job at Goodison Park will surely grow ever louder.
