Kevin Kilbane showers praise on Tammy Abraham’s performance for Swansea City

Swansea City won 2-0 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Swansea City picked up their first win of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign with a deserved 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Tammy Abraham, on loan from Chelsea, gave the lead for the visitors just before half-time after meeting Leroy Fer’s cross.

Former Liverpool defender Martin Kelly was at fault for Swansea’s second goal, when he was robbed on the halfway line by Kyle Naughton. His through ball was well finished off by Jordan Ayew.

Both teams went into this match without a goal from their opening two matches, but Swansea looked the better team of the two with their strike pair of Abraham and Ayew combined dangerously.

Abraham took to Twitter after the match to express his reaction following Swansea’s win. He tweeted:

Former Everton player and now BBC pundit Kevin Kilbane was full of praise for Abraham, saying the 19-year-old is the “big positive” for the Swans.

Kilbane said that Abraham works hard “without the ball”, and that he deserved his goal.

“The big positive for Swansea to take from today is Tammy Abraham. He works hard without the ball and he deserved that goal today,” said Kilbane to BBC Sport (BBC live commentary; 17:10 pm).
