West Ham United were beaten 3-0 by Southampton on Sunday.

BBC Sport pundit Kevin Kilbane has insisted that the London Stadium is not an issue for West Ham United.
The Hammers moved to their new stadium this season leaving their lifelong home of Upton Park.
It was hoped that the move to the new ground would be the start of a bright new era for the club; however it has not been a happy start to life at their new home, with complaints about seating and the atmosphere just two of several early teething problems.

There have also been issues on the pitch as Slaven Bilic’s side have picked up just one home win from their first three games.
It has been suggested that the team’s failure to adapt to their new surroundings is a cause of their poor form but Kilbane disagrees.
“You can look at the stadium but I don’t think it’s an issue,” he told BBC Sport.
“I really don’t see that as an issue but we’re yet to see that really big performance in that stadium so that they can really call it their home where they can get the atmosphere generated.”

A look at the stats certainly does suggest that West Ham are not struggling at home.
In their three home games, they have conceded fewer chances both in and outside the box to their opponents than in their away games.
| Match | Attempts Conceded Ibox per Game | Attempts Conceded Obox per Game | Big Chance Created per Game | Key Passes per Game | Total Scoring Att per Game | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| West Ham | Away | 10.67 | 4.67 | 0.67 | 9.33 | 13 | 3 |
| West Ham | Home | 9.67 | 3.33 | 1 | 11.67 | 16 | 3 |
They have also fared better going forward, creating more big chances per game and registering more key passes and shots on target per game at home than away.
Of course, the teams they have faced plays a part, but on the face of it, it seems unwise to suggest that the London Stadium is directly affecting West Ham’s performances.
