Celtic demolished their Old Firm rivals on Saturday afternoon.
Kevin Kilbane has described Celtic hitman Moussa Dembele as “top class” following his heroics in Saturday’s Old Firm derby demolition of Rangers.
Brendan Rodgers’s troops smashed Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park yesterday, with Dembele, a summer signing from Fulham, grabbing three goals for himself.
The Frenchman headed the Bhoys ahead on 33 minutes, before doubling the lead with a fine outside-of-the-boot finish after making a mug of Philippe Senderos.
Joe Garner halved the deficit just before the break, but Scott Sinclair latched on to a fine ball from Dembele to poke past Wes Foderingham and restore the hosts’ two-goal lead on 61 minutes.
Dembele then completed his hat-trick with a darting finish from close range, after Senderos was sent off for a second yellow card, while Stuart Armstrong completed the scoring late to destroy Mark Warburton’s side.
It would appear as if Kilbane was late seeing the goals, but the former Republic of Ireland international was hugely impressed with the “top class” 20-year-old.
It took a while for Dembele to show what he can do, having arrived in Glasgow with a big reputation, but Bhoy did he showcase his ability against the Gers.
