The 25-year-old joined Tottenham Hotspur for £11 million.

Kevin Kilbane has told Irish radio station Newstalk that Victor Wanyama represents a “great signing” for Tottenham Hotspur.
The tough-tackling midfielder joined Spurs in a £11 million deal this summer after spending two years with Southampton.

The 25-year-old has already endeared himself to Tottenham fans with his style and he scored a late winner in last month’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on his full debut.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino sort of raised eyebrows by even going in for the Kenyan, given that he already had a very capable defensive midfielder in Eric Dier on his hands.

But Kilbane has said that the former Celtic star remains a “great signing” irrespective of the competition within the squad.
“Victor Wanyama is a great signing for Tottenham. Being in the last year of his contract [at Southampton], that brought his price down,” he said to Irish radio station Newstalk.
Wanyama was the first of six summer signings made by Pochettino; four of which happened in the final days of the transfer window.
Tottenham signed free agent Juan Pablo Gonzalez Velasco on the penultimate day, before then drafting in Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Moussa Sissoko, and Pau Lopez on loan, on deadline day to round off a very decent window in the end.
The Lilywhites have won one and drawn two of their first three Premier League games thus far.
