Liverpool will be looking to add more quality to their squad this summer as they chase the Premier League title.

Ousmane Dembele of FC Barcelona looks on prior to the Spanish Copa del Rey Final match between FC Barcelona and Valencia CF at Estadio Benito Villamarin on May 25, 2019 in Seville, Spain.

Kevin Kilbane has claimed that Liverpool ‘always sign pace’ as he backed reported target Ousmane Dembele to succeed at the club because of Jurgen Klopp.

The former Premier League defender, who works as a pundit for BBC Sport, claimed that Dembele would cost ‘over £100 million’ if Liverpool want to secure his services.

90 min have claimed that Liverpool have the funds to sign Barcelona starlet Dembele this summer should the club pursue his signature.

Former Everton man Kilbane reacted to those rumours and stated that with Klopp at the helm, he can ‘get the best out of anybody’.

“Liverpool always sign pace,” Kilbane told Off the Ball. “The way that they play, it’s built on pace. He’d be perfect for Liverpool in how they play.

“I think Klopp would get the best out of him. He’d get the best out of anybody. Fee wise? It would be over £100 million, wouldn’t it?!

“Is he worth that? Barcelona overpaid for him, anyway. Way overpaid for him and it hasn’t worked out the way they would have liked, but he’d certainly fit Liverpool.”

The Reds are yet to add any attacking talent to their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, with Klopp having a number of key players fresh and injury-free for pre-season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returned from his long-term injury towards the back end of the last campaign and he is fully fit and like a new player to Klopp.

But there’s no doubt that they will have to dip their hands into the transfer market and bulk up their squad because it is going to be yet another rollercoaster of a title race.
