Manchester City face Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

The repercussions of Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium not being ready this weekend have not left Kevin de Bruyne happy.
Tottenham’s game with Manchester City this weekend was frantically re-arranged after Spurs’ construction work fell behind schedule.
The match was switched to Wembley, and the date moved from to Monday, because a NFL game is being played at the stadium on Sunday between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles.
City attacker Kevin de Bruyne, a Ballon d’Or nominee for 2018, has expressed his concern about the potential state of the pitch.
He told The Telegraph: “We have played on an NFL pitch before in pre-season and it’s not nice.
“It’s going to be difficult. I’m not sure how it’s going to be. We hope it will be OK and we can play like we normally do.”

City won comfortably at Wembley last season against Tottenham, although that game was several months after it staged it’s last NFL game of 2017.
De Bruyne is only just returning from injury and could make his first Premier League start of the season.
Staying fit is likely to be on his mind, and it is understandable that a churned up pitch is causing him some anxiety, in addition to worries about how it may affect the team’s passing style.
