Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne sent a cheeky message to Arsenal fans on Instagram, who were seen throwing objects at him after he was substituted in his side’s 3-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

The £54 million (Bleacher Report) man, who Martin Odegaard admitted to looking up to in the lead-up to the game reminded the world of his greatness, with a sumptuous goal and an assist for Erling Haaland’s late dagger against Mikel Arteta’s side.

After being taken off before the end of the contest, Arsenal fans were seeing throwing objects at De Bruyne, who strutted along with a smile on his face and a humorous reply on Instagram.

The Belgian international, who has been criticised for his recent performances gave a stark reminder to those that question his big-game credentials, especially as rivals such as Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold have raved about his brilliance in the past.

But Kevin De Bruyne showed his class on Instagram again, as shared by City Xtra after cheekily replying to Arsenal fans who threw objects at him after he was taken off for Man City by saying, “Beer anyone?”

In another story, he simply captioned the picture of him ducking a glass that was chucked at him by saying, “Thanks!”

Some Arsenal fans let the fanbase down

Win, lose or draw, there are certain lines that you simply cannot cross, regardless of the result.

While the message sent by Man City vice-captain Kevin De Bruyne to Arsenal fans shows that it was taken in good humour, throwing objects at a player for simply outclassing the team you support is unjustifiable.

Unfortunately, a select few number of such individuals let the Gunners fanbase, who have made the Emirates Stadium one of the best atmospheres in the country down.
