Ronald Koeman left Southampton to join Everton yesterday.

Kevin Davies has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 15th June, that Southampton should attempt to appoint David Moyes or Manuel Pellegrini to takeover from Ronald Koeman.
Davies, who represented the Saints for four years as a player, admits that his former club are limited in options over who could replace Koeman.

However, the former England international does feel that there are managers out there – and he has backed either Moyes or Pellegrini to do a good job at St. Mary’s.
“Good question,” Davies said, when asked who Southampton should turn to next. “They’ve had two great managers. It’s surprises me that Koeman has left.
“You look at who is out there and maybe Moyes or Pellegrini. After that, I’m not too sure.”

Southampton have been forced to look for a new manager, after Koeman’s shock departure to Everton yesterday.
Koeman initially stated that he would be prepared to stay with Southampton for at least another season, but he was then convinced that a move to Goodison Park would be more appealing.
The Dutch boss was officially unveiled as Everton boss yesterday, leaving Southampton on the hunt for a new boss.
Both Moyes and Pellegrini have been linked with the post, but Southampton are also believed to be considering Frank De Boer and Eddie Howe.
