Kevin Campbell has praised Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe on Highbury Squad.
The former Arsenal star has said that although Pepe is not a world-beater now, the winger is starting to deliver the goods consistently.
Campbell said about Pepe on Highbury Squad: “I am not saying he is a world-beater now, but he is a lot more consistent, it looks like he is understanding the game a lot more, what is required of him, and he is producing a lot better consistently.”
Pepe is indeed playing better now and is starting to show why Arsenal spent £72 million on him in the summer of 2019.
The winger appears to have added consistency to his game since January, especially in the Europa League.
The 25-year-old was a key figure in Arsenal reaching as far as the semi-finals of the Europa League this season.
Pepe made 10 starts and three substitute appearances in the Europa League, scoring six goals and providing four assists in the process.

The winger has also made 15 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in the process.
Is Pepe doing better than last season?
Stats would suggest so.
Last season, the Ivory Coast international scored five goals and gave six assists in the league, and scored two goals and provided two assists in the Europa League.
It is always tough for any player to come to the Premier League and make an instant impact.
Pepe is still quite young, and the signs he has shown in recent weeks suggest that he could be a star for Arsenal in the coming years.
