Kevin Campbell has claimed that Alex Iwobi has ‘turned things around unbelievably’ at Everton, three years after leaving Arsenal.
The Arsenal and Everton legend was praising the Toffees for their recent recruitment, including signing centre-back duo James Tarkowski and Conor Coady.
In previous years, they have splashed the cash on players, but rather than going forward, it has resulted in them taking several steps back.

It could have been argued that someone like Iwobi was part of the big-money spent that just wasn’t working out.
Well, until Frank Lampard walked through the doors of Goodison Park in January when he replaced the pretty unpopular Rafa Benitez.
He moved Iwobi into a central position, and that talented youngster that was coming through at Hale-End, is now showcasing his worth.
Nonetheless, when Campbell spoke about Everton’s recruitment, he was sure to give Iwobi his flowers, as he told Sky Sports Premier League.
“The way they have signed the players, Tarkowski and Coady coming in, it’s a solid base,” said Campbell. “You go into midfield. You have Idrissa Gueye in there. Onana has been outstanding at times.
“Iwobi, Alex Iwobi, he has turned things around unbelievably as well.”

ARSENAL’S HALE-END STARS
Arsenal have always had a strong academy and that is showcasing itself in the Premier League today.
Whilst Everton fans enjoy Iwobi gliding up the field with the ball, the Gunners themselves have one of the top talents in the country showcasing his worth.
Bukayo Saka is headed to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this month, and after assisting during Arsenal’s win against Chelsea on Sunday which puts them top of the Premier League table, he is a key player for both club and country at only 21.
