Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has retweeted a post urging him to ‘have words’ with the Gunners about signing his son, Tyrese, the Stoke City striker.

Campbell Jnr scored twice for Stoke’s Under-23s against Middlesbrough this week – taking his tally to 14 for the season and prompting several Potters fans to call for his inclusion in Paul Lambert’s first team against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Speaking to the Stoke Sentinel on Thursday, Lambert hinted that the 18-year-old will be involved at some stage between now and the end of the season. But what then?

Campbell Snr appears to have endorsed a move to Arsenal…

@MarvMc04 posted: “Have words with @Arsenal @1kevincampbell .. Get him on our books,” which the 48-year-old retweeted to his 24,000 followers.

Campbell Jnr was previously on the books of Manchester City, but moved to Stoke in the summer of 2016.

According to Transfermarkt, the former England Under-17 international – whose father scored Premier League goals for Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion as well as Arsenal and Everton – is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
